- The following figure shows the likelihood ratio of observing friends meet, as compared to observing non-friends meeting, at different locations in a university campus. Friends meet at a few meaningful places, where non-friends can pass by anywhere
- The following figure contrasts the number of places to frequent for freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior, and graduate students. Freshmen and sophomores on average frequent 5 places, corresponding to 50 Wi-Fi access points. The average number of frequented places increases to 8 in the third year or the forth year, and maintains at this level to graduate school.
